1st Team vs Salford Roosters

Westhoughton Lions kicked off their preseason campaign with a competitive encounter against Salford Roosters but fell short, losing 28-16. Despite the result, there were plenty of positives to take from the performance.

The Lions got on the scoreboard through tries from Chayse Quigley, Will Hall, and Andy Windsor, showing attacking promise. Luke McMahon added the extras with two successful conversions from three attempts.

A strong second-half effort saw the Lions pushing for a comeback, but Salford held firm to secure the win. With preseason now underway, the squad will look to build on this performance and sharpen up ahead of the new season.
